Ultrasound

GE's LOGIQ S8 Ultrasound equipment provides versatility and high-quality images at bedside and in the department.

Sevier County Medical Center has added the LOGIQ S8 premium ultrasound system from GE Healthcare to its diagnostic arsenal. This small, lightweight device provides physicians and clinicians with high-quality images for informed diagnoses and treatment decisions. It is compact and portable, allowing it to be rolled into a small exam room or provided at a patient's bedside when needed. The LOGIQ S8 also increases efficiency by allowing the sonographer to customize and automate frequently performed steps, allowing more time for patient focused comfort, and reducing exam time.

GE Healthcare's innovative ultrasound technology enables the LOGIQ S8 to quickly capture detailed images of anatomy inside the body, providing clear imaging for all body types, including those with higher body mass indexes (BMI). Ultrasound, also known as sonography, uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of internal body structures and organs and show blood flow through vessels. The LOGIQ S8 will be used to non-invasively analyze soft tissue, organs, and blood flow, helping physicians and clinicians make informed treatment decisions for many diagnoses, including cardiovascular disease.

Compact and portable, the LOGIQ S8 allows for studies in small exam rooms or at the patient's bedside.

Diagnostic ultrasound, also known as sonography or diagnostic medical sonography, is a safe imaging method that uses sound waves to create images of structures inside the body.

It is commonly used to view the uterus and ovaries during pregnancy, diagnose gallbladder disease, evaluate blood flow, and examine various body parts such as the breast, thyroid gland, genital and prostate areas, and joints.
