Business Office Manager

The Business Office Manager will work under the general supervision of the Business Office Director.  This position provides leadership role for Registration support for claim accuracy and streamlined operations within the workflow of Registration to the Billing Department.  This position leads in the analysis and preparation of patient data to achieve clean claim processing and overall achievement of system and entity strategic goals and objectives.  This position is responsible for the direction and supervision of the Registration team members.

Responsibilities for Business Office Manager

  • Serves as leader to the Registration team which includes the initiation and assistance in identification and implementation of improvements and training by identifying important trends and variances.

  • Provides direction to manage implementation and support for Registration team system to enhance current and future system functionality.

  • Oversee day-to-day relationship with Registration Supervisor and Registration Clerks along with other operational leaders to manage and maintain accuracy of patient data.  Including but not limited to insurance information, prior authorizations, demographics and so forth.

  • Manage Prior Authorizations for Therapy services

  • Initiate, submit, and follow up on prior authorizations (Pas) for evaluations and treatment plans with insurance providers.

  • Track all authorization approvals, denials, and expiration dates

  • Communicate with therapy coordinator and clinical staff to ensure authorization are obtained before evaluation and treatment begins.

  • Credentialing and reappointment credentialing for medical care providers.  This includes both medical privilege credentialing as well as insurance provider credentialing.

Qualifications for Business Office Manager

  • High School diploma with substantial experiences in the registration field of healthcare.

  • Detail oriented

  • Excellent communication skills with both leadership and outside entities/persons providing services to this facility.

  • Ability to lead team members and solve problems swiftly.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership shills

    • Other duties as assigned by CEO, Controller, Billing Director
